HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR THANK YOU PAGE

Perhaps the most underrated page on your website is the Thank You page.

It’s the page your subscribers get right after they sign up for your email list. Many people under-utilize this page unaware of what it can do for their business. Or even worse…they don’t even have one!

If you haven’t yet designed a proper Thank You page, read on to find out how this very page is a goldmine waiting to be tapped.

Pretty much every email campaign provider gives you the option to send subscribers to a custom Thank You page inside their email settings. You should always use that option because this is your golden opportunity to make the most of your thank you page.

If you don’t get this right, you might risk a rocky start with your new followers. But if you do get it right, you could discover a new selling machine for your business.

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR THANK YOU PAGE

Here are some ideas you could use to optimize your Thank You page. You do not need to include all of these because what you include highly depends on your business goals. However, think about which ideas resonate and start making the changes necessary.

1. PROVIDE CLEAR OPTIONS FOR THE NEXT STEPS

Instead of just saying ‘thank you’ here, you should absolutely tell your audience what step to take next.

If they’ve just signed up for a freebie, let them know it’s going to arrive in their inbox and ask them to do something else in the meantime.

First of all, keep your navigation bar active at the top of your page, so they can still browse your site easily. But in addition to that, you can provide buttons with calls to action.

For example, ‘CLICK HERE TO READ MY MOST POPULAR BLOG POSTS’. This way you keep your visitors on your site longer. And what that means, of course, is improved Google ranking and more opportunities for you to turn your browsers into customers.

2. OFFER A COUPON OR DISCOUNT

This is especially useful if you sell products (any kind). Before they leave your site, you could offer them a coupon code to receive a discount for a specific product or any first-time purchase.

3. MAKE THEM A SPECIAL OFFER

Another idea is to create a one-of-a-kind offer that’s only available to your subscribers.

For example, if you have a digital product, such as an eBook, you could promote it on your Thank You page by offering it at a special price simply because they’ve signed up for your list.

If you make this an irresistible offer, you might start seeing some really nice passive income from this!

4. CONDUCT A SURVEY

We all should be doing market research all the time, to be honest, especially if our goal is to truly serve our audience by providing value.

Why not ask your subscribers to complete a short survey to get to know their needs better? Simply ask them a few questions that will help you create better content and products for them.

5. ASK THEM TO SHARE IT WITH OTHERS

Since they signed up for whatever it is that you just offered them, they’re likely to want to share it with others because they clearly see value in it. Encourage that with sharable buttons right on the Thank You page.

The best way to do this in Squarespace is to use special Shareaholic buttons.

6. PROMOTE YOUR LATEST PRODUCT

And finally, if you just launched something brand new, this is another opportunity for you to promote it.

Whether it’s a new program, service, or product you could invite your audience to check it out in more detail before they move on to something else.
