Many of my personal branding photoshoots take place outdoors, usually in a park. But this one is quite different. I realized I hadn’t really done a photo session in an urban setting, so I was really excited to photograph Karlena Waugh in the city.

Who knew there were this many possibilities of cool photo backdrops right in the center of Mississauga!

Karlena is an event planner, an emcee and a co-author, so we wanted to capture a variety of images she could use for her marketing purposes.

She loves graffiti, so lucky for her we found some really awesome graffiti art while we were walking around. We utilized all that we found and got some pretty unique photos in the end.

Lucky for me Karlena is extremely photogenic so my job was pretty easy. I think she looks great in every photo!
