Small Business Photography

Professional photography for the people, place, and personality behind your business.

Your business has a story worth showing.

The space you’ve created.
The people behind it.
The products you sell.
The work you do.
The experience you create for your customers.

Small Business Photography brings all of that together in a collection of professional images that show your business as it really is.

Serving small businesses in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and surrounding areas.

Your business is more than a logo.

When someone discovers your business online, your photographs often give them their first impression of what it’s like to work with you or visit you.

A few phone snapshots might show what you sell.

Professional photography can show what makes your business different.

It can show the person behind the business, the environment you’ve created, the details you care about, and the experience your customers can expect.

Instead of constantly trying to create new content yourself, you’ll have a collection of images that actually represents your business.

I’ll come to you.

You don’t need to rent a studio or find another location that looks like your business.

We’ll photograph your business where it actually happens.

Your shop.
Your studio.
Your clinic.
Your café.
Your office.
Your fitness space.
Your salon.
Your workshop.

Your location becomes part of the story.

I’ll work with you to create photographs that feel professional and polished while still looking like your real business.

What we'll photograph

Every business is different, so your session is planned around what you actually want people to see.

You and your team.

Professional portraits, natural interactions, and photographs of the people who make your business what it is.

Your space.

Interior and exterior images that give potential customers a sense of your environment before they ever walk through the door.

Your products.

Products photographed naturally within the context of your business.

If you need dedicated e-commerce or catalogue photography, my Product Photography service may be a better fit.

Your process.

Creating, preparing, teaching, designing, serving, working — whatever you do, we’ll find ways to photograph it.

The details.

The little things that give your business personality and make your space recognizable.

The experience.

Where appropriate, we can create lifestyle images that show what it feels like to interact with your business.

More than a photoshoot. A visual library for your business.

One well-planned photography session can give you images you’ll use again and again.

Think beyond Instagram.

Your photographs can be used throughout your:

Small Business Photography is ideal if you want to show the business itself, not just yourself.

It can be a great fit for:

  • Boutique shops and retailers
  • Cafés, bakeries, and food businesses
  • Florists and creative businesses
  • Salons and spas
  • Wellness businesses
  • Clinics and professional practices
  • Fitness studios
  • Interior designers and creative professionals
  • Businesses with a distinctive physical location
  • Businesses opening a new location
  • New businesses preparing to launch

Established businesses refreshing their visual presence

If your business has a place, a personality, people, products, or an experience worth showing, we can photograph it.

Especially useful when you’re opening something new

Launching a business or opening a new location is a big deal.

You’ve spent months — maybe years — creating something.

You want people to see it.

A photography session gives you professional images from the beginning that you can use to introduce your business, announce your opening, populate your website, update your Google Business Profile, and keep your marketing fresh as you grow.

And because the photographs are created at your actual location, they show potential customers what they’ve got to look forward to.

What the experience looks like

01 — We talk about your business

Once you inquire, we’ll talk about what you do, your location, what you want to communicate, and how you’ll use your photographs.

You don’t need to arrive with a perfect shot list. That’s something I’ll help you create.

02 — We plan your session

We’ll decide what parts of your business are most important to photograph and what you should have ready before I arrive.

The goal is to make the most of our time together.

03 — I come to your business

Your photography session takes place at your location.

I’ll guide you when you’re in front of the camera and give you direction throughout the session. We’ll also photograph you and your team naturally doing what you do.

You don’t need to know how to pose.

04 — Your images are delivered

After your session, I’ll professionally edit your photographs and deliver them through a private online gallery.

You’ll have a collection of images ready to use across your business.

You don’t have to be comfortable in front of the camera.

Most business owners aren’t professional models — and I don’t expect you to be.

I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I also want the photographs to feel natural.

Some of the best images may happen while you’re simply doing your work.

You get to be yourself. I’ll take care of the photography.

What my clients say…

Branding photography of a wellness practitioner working with a client, captured by Marta Raptis in Burlington
“I recently booked Marta for a mini-branding photoshoot and she was fabulous from start to finish. From the get go Marta was very responsive, easy to communicate with, understood my vision and made me feel at ease throughout the photo shoot (as I don’t love being in front of the camera). She captured my work beautifully which I know will go a long way in helping me grow my business. Thank you Marta!”

I loved working with Marta. She made the whole process so natural and comfortable. As someone who does not like posing for pictures, I found it easy in her presence. And I love all the photos.
 Thank you!

Branding Photography or Small Business Photography?

Not sure which one you need?

The simplest way to think about it is:

Branding Photography

The focus is you.

A branding session is designed around your personal brand and gives you a collection of professional portraits and lifestyle images that help you show up consistently across your business.

Small Business Photography

The focus is your business.

I’ll come to your location and photograph the people, space, products, process, details, and experience that make your business unique.

If you’re still unsure, that’s completely fine. We can figure out which approach makes the most sense for what you’re trying to accomplish.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Small Business Photography?

It’s professional photography created specifically for your business and its marketing. Rather than focusing only on portraits, we’ll photograph the people, place, products, process, details, and experience that make your business unique.

Where does the session take place?

At your business location in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, or surrounding areas. Your own space is often the most meaningful setting because it’s where your business actually happens.

How long is the session?

The session is up to 2 hours.

How many photographs will I receive?

You’ll receive up to 30 professionally edited high-resolution images from your session.

Can you photograph my team?

Yes. Team portraits and natural photographs of your team working can be part of the session.

Can you photograph my products?

Yes. Products can be incorporated into your business photography when they are part of your environment and story.

If you need a larger collection of dedicated product photographs for an online shop or catalogue, Product Photography is likely a better fit.

What if I don’t have a physical business location?

If you work from home, remotely, or don’t have a customer-facing location, Branding Photography may be a better option.

Do I need to prepare anything?

I’ll give you guidance before your session based on your business. Depending on what we’re photographing, you may want to clean and style your space, prepare specific products, have your team available, or plan activities you’d like captured.

Can I use the photographs on social media?

Yes. Your commercial usage includes your website, social media, Google Business Profile, email marketing, and other business marketing purposes.

Do you travel outside Mississauga, Oakville, and Burlington?

Travel within Mississauga, Oakville, and Burlington is included. If you’re located elsewhere in the GTA, get in touch and I’ll let you know what is possible.
