I recently went back to SHVRK STUDIO for another branding photoshoot in Mississauga, this time with fellow photographer Kenda Al‑Yakobi. Our session focused on creating soft, natural portraits that reflect her warm personality and the heart of her work. Using gentle light, simple styling, and a relaxed, supportive approach, we captured images that feel authentic, grounded, and true to who she is — giving her a cohesive collection she can use confidently across her brand.
We actually took turns in front of the camera during this session, each of us updating our own branding photos while cheering the other on. It was such a fun, collaborative experience — two photographers photographing each other and creating fresh images for our businesses at the same time.
As photographers, we tend to be very comfortable behind the camera but just like everyone else, we need regular practice to be on the other end as well!
Having a great set of images helps us all build confidence too. I personally think though that Kenda is a natural at posing and super photogenic. That’s why I love all the images I took of her.
