I SPENT MY BIRTHDAY WEEK IN VANCOUVER

Last month, the week of June 21st, was my birthday week and I was lucky enough to spend it in Vancouver.

I’m so happy to finally be able to travel again! I missed it so much, just like I’m sure many of you have.

All in all, the process wasn’t too difficult since I travelled within Canada. But wearing a mask on the plane the entire time…oh my, that was tough!

Vancouver mountains

The trip turned out really good, which is the most important part.

My awesome husband surprised me with a whole bunch of birthday treats including breakfast in bed, multiple spa treatments, and dinner on one of Vancouver’s best rooftop patios topped with a bottle of champagne. Lucky me!

The rest of the week, we spent doing some touristy stuff and eating really delicious sushi (among other things).

Some highlights of Vancouver were going to Grouse Mountain, Granville Island, cruising around Stanley park on rented electric bikes, and visiting the steam clock in Gastown.

We also took the ferry to spend one day in Victoria, where I finally got to visit the famous Butchart Gardens. Love it when I can check travel spots off my list!

I came back with a bunch of new photos from my trip and I’m adding one to the Art Shop.

By the way, I keep a separate portfolio for personal project photography (including all photos from Vancouver & Victoria), which you can view right here: https://martaraptis.myportfolio.com/

Till next time!
