MILANOTE - MEET THE BEST ORGANIZATION TOOL FOR CREATIVES!

I’ve always been a very organized person (which I’m told is rare for creatives). And I’ve tried many different organizational tools over the past 9 years or so (as long as I’ve been self-employed).

I’ve tried Trello, Asana, Evernote, OneNote, you name it. Each one of them had something good about it but for some reason, none of them ever felt like they were the “all-in-one package” I was looking for. I seemed to be trying really hard to like one or the other but something always felt missing.

Then one day during a recent mastermind call with my good friend, she mentioned Milanote and how much she liked it. So I thought I’d give it a go.

I started playing around with the free version and… I was instantly hooked! I literally fell in love with it from the beginning. So much so that I wanted to share it with the rest of you!

Milanote’s slogan is “Get organized. Stay creative.” And I can honestly say that that’s exactly how I feel when using their app. I can get very organized in a creative way that’s visually pleasing to the eye!

I love the fact that they have a desktop app, which I chose to use instead of having yet another internet tab open (know what I mean?). Plus they have a mobile app which allows you to add to your notes on the go for when that new idea pops in to your head while you’re away from your desk. I find that very clever and helpful.

Unlike many other organizational tools, Milanote lets you move your boards around in any way you please. You can customize text, colours, attach PDFs and so much more.

My favourite part though is that they have so many pre-built templates to get started with. Being a photographer, I got really excited about the Nine templates for planning and organizing a photoshoot.

I already started using the “Photoshoot Plan” template and customized it to suit my needs.

I’m really looking forward to using it for my next photo session. I can even create Moodboards in there and share them with my clients. It’s nice to have something other than Pinterest for that.

But it’s not just for photographers. Milanote has many other templates that can be used by any business owner for marketing, brainstorming, design collaboration or any creative projects.

Honesty, I love supporting companies that truly do something awesome. So that’s why I wanted to share this one with you all. I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think in the comments below!
