9 BEST GOOGLE CHROME EXTENSIONS FOR CREATIVES
Over the years I’ve tested and accumulated a lot of different Google Chrome extensions. Now that I think about it, I can’t imagine not having them because they’ve become so essential to my productivity as an online business owner.
Without further ado, here is a list of my top extensions that I use all the time.
1) Block Yourself from Analytics
This is essential you guys! If you’re doing any kind of tracking of your website traffic, you gotta remove YOURSELF from the stats. You may have never thought of this, but Google Analytics tracks your own clicks on your website too. So if you’re just opening your website over and over…you know, to “check things out”, Analytics is adding that up as website views. This means your Analytics is actually incorrect. Get yourself this extension.
2) Pinterest Save Button
This one is super handy for when you want to be able to pin anything to your Pinterest boards. Since not all images come with this function, installing this extension will ensure to add that ability for easy pinning.
3) Dropbox for Gmail
Allows you to send and preview Dropbox files and links without leaving your Gmail window. Pretty convenient.
4) ColorPick Eyedropper
An eye-dropper & color-picker tool that allows you to select color values from web pages. This is really cool if you want to know the exact color of something you see online. For example, if you’re creating your brand colors for the first time and want to copy a color you found exactly as you found it.
5) Grammarly for Chrome
Oh my goodness, I love this one! It helps you spot grammar and spelling mistakes anywhere you type! Even when you create new blog posts in Squarespace for example, it works like magic. I love it because as a fast typer, I make occasional mistakes, and this tool helps me look more professional.
6) Share link via email
Adds a button and context menu item to send the page URL or a link URL via email. Basically, it helps you email a link to an article you find online quickly and easily by right-clicking on the screen. When you click on “Share link via email” it will take you straight to composing an email from your default email provider.
7) Site Palette
Similar to number four, it allows you to extract colours from any website.
8) Video Speed Controller
Have you ever got a link to a video that you really wanted to watch, but thought something like, “OMG this one’s an hour-long!” Well, this extension lets you watch it faster. You choose the speed. It’s saved me so much time already!
9) Squarespace Collection/Block Identifier
Last, but not least! This extension displays the collection and block IDs on Squarespace pages to use in custom CSS.
That’s it for now. So what did you think? Are you using any of these already? Anything you’ll be adding now?
